Our Work Speaks For Itself

Bartlett, Tennessee - July 2009

"Finally, the FEMA forms have all been filled out and boxed up! The Mayor and Finance Director are pleased and I couldn’t be happier. You and your company have hit another home run for us with the cleanup effort just as you did in 2003 with Hurricane Elvis. The only thing we plan to change in the future is to request more of your help, sooner.

Thanks so much for your support. Your knowledge, honesty, and candor have proven most beneficial to me and helped make our department look like the professionals that you are.

We look forward to a continuation of our excellent working and personal relationship. Thank you once again!"

Bill Yearwood
Director of Public Works

Liberty, Texas - 2009

"Having never been through a hurricane event previously and having no experience in establishing a protocol for addressing the debris removal, Mr. Potts was the only contractor that took the time to be present (a 5 day process) and diligent in helping Liberty County establish a fair and impartial method of choosing a debris contractor.

Mr. Potts assisted in defining line items of his contract, helped prepare spreadsheets and a methodology of interviewing contractors to determine apples to apples, so to speak. He is well versed in FEMA rules and gave insight to Liberty County in establishing their methods of verification and re-imbursement so that nothing was put into place contrary to their rules and regulations. He gave Monitor classes (at no cost to the county) to insure FEMA rules and guidelines were passed on to our inspectors. He willingly spent many long hours assisting the county, answering questions, helped formulate debris estimates based on his observations and overview of the damaged area (which were very accurate) he inspected on his own.

Out of over a dozen contractors interested in bidding, Michael’s Tree Services was low bidder overall. He expeditiously formulated a very qualified work force which hit the ground running immediately after issuance of his contract and completed the area assigned to his company weeks before any of the other contractors in surrounding precincts.

His professionalism and dedication to detail, ensured Liberty County of no surprises, no hidden costs, completion of services in a very timely manner, and a working relationship that was of the utmost ease and cooperation.

I highly recommend Michael’s Tree Service for your Debris Clean-up and his professionalism, honesty and integrity, that will benefit you should you decide to engage in his services."

Todd M. Fontenot
Liberty County Commissioner

Midwest City, OK - December 2007

"Michael’s Tree and Loader Service won the competitive bid to perform all city street right-of-way trimming and hauling of storm debris by proposing a very creative and cost saving idea. Michael Potts assembled a highly qualified work force in a very short time and was working in our city within 3 days. He is a very hard-working individual and his main concern throughout the project was to leave our city with another very satisfied customer. His methods of clean up were very efficient and his attention to detail reaped praise from many of our citizens and elected officials. Michael’s knowledge of FEMA requirements was a great help to me personally and he offered me great advice from time to time on how to deal with FEMA officials.

Without hesitation I would recommend Michael’s Tree and Loader Service as a very responsible contractor for your storm clean up needs. We had an excellent experience with Michael Potts firm and would welcome him back at any time in the future. Not only is he a contractor of the highest integrity I consider him a newfound friend."

Michaels Tree Service worked fast as promised, because they had the right kind of equipment to do the job fast as we absolutely needed. We feel because of a combined effort with volunteers, County and City Road and Bridge Departments, and our contractor, Michaels Tree Service, we saved lives here in our rural areas and cities of Laclede County Missouri during the approximate two week long ice storm disaster."

Danny Rhoades

St. Louis, Missouri - July 2006

"Although St. Louis had no preexisting contract with Michael's Tree & Loader Service, they had the personnel on the ground and ready to help within 36 hours of the storm. Michael's Tree Service has extensive knowledge of what needed to be done, as well as the experience and expertise to make it happen with minimal disruption to ordinary business.

The City of St. Louis was thankful to have one contractor that could handle the entirety of the job. Michael's Tree & Loader Service did an outstanding job. Michael Potts is a man of his word and I give him and his company the highest recommendations for any endeavor. I recommend this company without reservation and will call them again should the need arise. Knowing you can depend on someone to get a job of this scale done is invaluable."

Gary D. Bess

Burlington, North Carolina

"The city of Burlington contracted Michael Pott's, Michael's Tree & Loader Service to provide articulating self-loading trucks and operators. These were utilized with our City forces to clean up. Michael worked with our staff providing invaluable labor and experience. I have experienced previous events; straight line winds, hurricanes and the subsequent clean ups and would highly recommend Michael's Tree & Loader Service."

Gary L. Hicks
Public Works Director

Hattisburg, Mississippi

"Michael's Tree & Loader Service was a major contributor to the effort of emergency clean-up of the streets and right-of-way in Hattiesburg after Hurricane Katrina. Their work effort was exemplary. We highly recommend them in this capacity should you ever need such services"

GW. Larry Douglas
General Manager of Public Works

Bartlett, Tennessee

"I have had the pleasure of working with Michael Potts on three separate occasions. Michael helped us with unusually heavy spring clean up, a heavy storm and a nationally declared disaster of hurricane force winds. Michaels supplied us with the needed equipment along with experienced operators to provide timely and efficient collections. His crews went the extra mile by helping our residents whenever they could and taking pride in their work in consideration of our resident's property.

Michael is a man of his word. We worked out what we needed and he did exactly what we had agreed on. Michael handled any problem that occurred in a professional manner. I would recommend Michael's Tree & Loader Service to anyone who needs their professional services."

Toby W. Adkison
Director of Public Works

Memphis, Tennessee

"A devastating storm tore through Memphis, leaving widespread destruction in its wake. Trees throughout Memphis suffered sever damage. Hundreds of trees were uprooted, shattered, or so damaged they had to be removed. Thousands of broken branches were hung-up in the crowns of trees. In all 117 parks and park properties suffered damage.

The original contractor hired to clean-up the damage proved inadequate to the task, so the City of Memphis re-bid the storm contract and hired Michael's Tree & Loader Service. The effort required expertise in tree removals and trimming, the ability to work off-road and in tight spots, organizational skills, and reliable and appropriate equipment. Michael and his employees had to prevent or minimize disturbance to sensitive areas, such as golf courses, landscaped parks and the Memphis Botanic Gardens.

Michael's Tree & Loader Service did an excellent job. We were very satisfied with the way they went about their business and with the final results. Work was completed in a timely manner and everything that needed to be done was completed. Michael and his employees were competent, careful, and delivered the quality work we had hoped for."

Christopher Latt
Urban Forester, Division of Park Services

Jackson, Tennessee

"Jackson, Tennessee was hit by a series of devastating tornadoes, high winds and large hail. Portions of the downtown and surrounding residential areas were in ruin. It was in this confusion and mayhem that we met Mr. Michael Potts. During any disaster, less than reputable people surface, so we were very reserved about Michael and what he claimed he could do.

Over the course of the next several weeks Michael's Tree & Loader Service more than proved themselves to us. Michael and his employees exemplify the spirit of the workers that set about clearing our city of rubble and debris. He never asked for a thing, his only question being 'Where do we go next?'. He and his employees worked well with the city crews and were well liked. They responded very well to the needs and requests of our citizens, especially during a time that was very emotional to all.

The City of Jackson is pleased to recommend Michael's Tree & Loader Service for any endeavor you are striving to achieve."

Gary M. Leforgee
Street Department Superintendent

and

Johnny Williams
Director of Public Works

Georgetown, Kentucky

"I must express my appreciation for the excellent work Michael's Tree & Loader Service performed during our ice storm. The work and the timely completion were outstanding. In addition to the work, the records of hours and removed debris were very valuable in completing our FEMA requests. I give Michael's Tree & Loader Service my highest recommendation."

George Lusby
Scott County Judge/Executive

Germantown, Tennessee

"Following federal guidelines (during a nationally declared disaster), we contracted Michael's Tree & Loader Service for the removal of 100,000 plus cubic yards of debris in the City of Germantown. We found Michael to be very hardworking, trustworthy and a dedicated individual. His first and foremost concern was the timely and efficient removal and disposal of all the vegetative debris located throughout the city. His methods were efficient and his detailed clean up received the praise of many residents and elected officials alike.

Therefore, without any hesitation, I can strongly recommend Michael's Tree & Loader Service as a very responsible contractor for you clean-up needs. We had an excellent experience and will welcome him back to Germantown anytime a clean-up effort is necessary.”

Patrick J. Lawton
City Administrator

Hawington, Connecticut

"I must let you know how happy we were with the work Michael's Tree & Loader Service performed for our town after the 'Ice Storm'. Michael worked well with our men and equipment and, when needed, you were able to work alone without supervision to perform your work quickly and efficiently. I was so pleased with the work, I recommended Michael's Tree & Loader Service to our neighboring town of Plymouth. You can be assured that if (God forbid) conditions arise that we need such services again, we would hire Michael's Tree & loader Service without hesitation."

John D. Fredsall
Harwington Highway Supervisor

Lakeland, Tennessee

"For approximately three years the City of Lakeland had periodically used Michael's Tree & Loader Service to supplement City crews in the collection of tree limbs for mandated recycling. This was fortunate because the City of Lakeland experienced a destructive windstorm with winds over 100 mph.

Within two hours Michael's Tree & Loader Service had a knuckle boom truck on the City's streets clearing blocked right-of-ways. His experience with federally declared National Disasters was a great aid to the City. Michael's crews worked approximately twenty-eight 12-hour days to restore Lakeland to normal. The operators were always courteous and responsive to the general public and the contract monitors. Michael Potts was always available for a conference within minutes.

The City of Lakeland will continue to use Michael's Tree & Loader Service as needed on a monthly basis and they will be the first phone call if another disaster strikes."
